Introducing Bobby Irish!
(At least that is what I will call him on my blog. I don’t go by my kids’ real names for their privacy and protection.)
We welcomed him into the world on November 28 at 6:52 pm. He weighed 8 lb. 15 oz. and was 21 inches long.
He has brown hair and brown eyes and looks a lot like my girls did as new borns. He does indeed have a big head, short legs, and very long feet, but he does not look like a hobbit. Ha ha!
It has been an extremely busy few days. We managed to call both of our parents while at the hospital and that was the extent of our communication with the outside world during our stay. So far we’ve only taken a few pictures; I’m way behind. Be patient with me! I don’t think I got more than six hours of sleep in my entire hospital stay. What is with those people going in and out of the rooms day and night? Housekeeping at 5:00 in the morning–for crying out loud! Ah well, we are alive and doing pretty well anyway!

Congratulations Esther!!!! I’m so happy everyone is healthy and well. My advice as a mom of 7: eat simple meals, even if it’s just sandwiches (your kids will survive), let others take the kids out for a bit, and don’t feel guilty if you can’t do everything!

I’ve just caught up on reading all the blogs after getting home from our trip, visiting other relatives after we left you. I read people telling you to relax and enjoy the rest–yeah, right. Jason has to work, of course, and the four active, noisy “blessings” all clamor for attention. Yes, they are definitely blessings, but they don’t quit being normal for a new brother. I pray for you “without ceasing.”
