Laugh With Us Blog has been online a year today! When I began, my goal was to post every single day. I didn’t know how I would be able to do it, but a year has passed and my goal is accomplished! Can you feel my excitement?
I set out to share mostly funny and embarrassing stories, and I think there have been plenty of those! I didn’t intend to share the harder times, but more and more I felt compelled to do so. To paint a picture of our lives sharing only the fun and happy times felt shallow and incomplete. It is only one side. I didn’t know how people would react to sharing my feelings throughout my miscarriage, but, to my surprise, these quickly became my most viewed posts. So many people out there confided that they felt the very same way, but didn’t ever talk about it. I have also enjoyed being able to encourage those who have since gone through similar situations.
With a little encouragement from my mom, I later wrote out what has been the hardest year of my life, and that story again quickly rose to the top of my most viewed posts.
Another surprise to me was the post that has brought me the most search engine traffic. It is my Mexican Sopa or Alphabet Soup recipe! I grew up eating and making this dish, and it is now also my kids’ favorite meal!
I began to wonder if I missed my calling. Maybe I should have set out to write about tragedy and food! Ha! I plan to continue to share the humor I see in life. I hope you join me for the journey! I’m so thankful for all of you that read our blog!
I would love to know what brings you back to Laugh With Us Blog?
I’m linked to Gratituesday.
