You think any of them will remember that I was there? Last Easter we had a tummy bug and had to postpone our meal. Sickness once again fell upon our household, but I was well thankfully! I stayed home from church with my two oldest girls and the baby. I was glad we had listened to Max McClain read the Easter account the night before because I thought about it while I finished cooking.
It was pouring rain when church was over. You can tell the younger two got drenched! Later in the day we hid the Easter eggs that the kids received from their Nebraska grandparents in our upstairs living room. It seems like rain has forced us inside for many of our Easter egg hunts.
You don’t see me posting a whole lot of fun kids ideas with eggs and bunnies. I know that is part of our American tradition, and I don’t mind a little of if, but I want to keep our emphasis at Easter on Christ’s work on the cross, and His miraculous resurrection. We do celebrate with a feast. Isn’t a feast biblical?
