AD: My #1 recommendation for anyone with braces #NewAgeInWaterFlossing

Waterpik logo ADI am so excited to share about Waterpik with you toady!  It has been somewhat traumatic to go back to braces in my 40s.  While I’ve heard many say they love their braces, that didn’t happen for me.  It’s kind of like being pregnant.  People sometimes assume since I have five children that I must love being pregnant.  No way, it’s just the end result that makes it worth it!

I have had issues keeping my gums healthy as an adult and even underwent a gum tissue graft in my adult life.  That was the worst experience ever!  My greatest fear with getting braces was in keeping my teeth clean and my gums healthy.  I had my braces for about a week when I first heard about Waterpik

12622511943_5b52db1e5a_zWaterpik Aquarius Professional Water Flosser (WP-660) is the easy and more effective way to floss and the most advanced water flosser ever.  It is clinically proven to improve gum health vs. string floss.

I’ll try not to gross you out here, but I’ve joked around that braces are like a forced diet.  You eat two tacos.  You get one.  The braces get the other!  I would rinse and spit after every meal for what seemed like forever to get all the food out of my braces.  So when I was told about Waterpik, I went out and bought one.  I LOVE it.  No more rinsing and spitting, I just use my water flosser and it cleans my whole mouth in about a minute.  It is the #1 product I recommend for anyone who is getting braces.  When Joy got her braces a few weeks ago, I went to the store to get her a Waterpik before we even drove home from the orthodontist.

So we had two of the Waterpik Ultra Water Flossers in our house, when I received the opportunity to try the new Waterpic Aquarius Professional Water Flosser.  I was thrilled!

Waterpik Water Flosser AD #NewAgeInWaterFlossingI love both products!  The one thing about the Ultra that I found a little cumbersome was removing and replacing the lid containing all of the extra tips.  That is made much easier in the new Aquarius Professional.  It also added a massage feature, which is pretty cool.  My dentist always told me to massage my gums to keep them healthy, and I would just stare back at him.  Really?  How am I going to do that?  Well here we go!

#NewAgeInWaterFlossing ADThank you so much Waterpik for sending me the Waterpik Aquarius Professional Water Flosser!  Faith gets her braces put on next month so we will be needing all three water flossers!

So now that you know you need a Waterpik, I’ve got great news for you.  With the code FREESHIPWP660 you can get free shipping on any Waterpik product purchased through the site. This coupon is valid until March 31, 2014.

  • I had braces in high school, so I know exactly what you mean about trying to keep them clean. I’m glad I don’t have braces any more! I hated the experience and I felt self-conscious. My problem now is that I tend to get cavities for some reason. I had 5 cavities filled this year alone. So maybe I should be taking better care of my teeth. Or stop eating yummy foods…

  • I know you probably don’t remember me but I met you at BBCDallas & was so excited to read about your braces, because I have been contemplating them for several years & I am also 40 (or a little more)! ;-)

I finally bit the bullet & got braces in January. I haven’t told anyone unless I just happen to see them and they notice. But I also went right out to purchase the waterpik & love it. I can’t believe how much food particles are left behind after just brushing. The waterpik is a must have w/ braces! Thanks for your honest review.

  • Had no idea such a product exists. Amazing. This thing is a must!
